TMC To Go: Building Great Structures

TMC To Go Activity: Building Great Structures

Over thousands of years humans have created great structures. From pyramids to suspension bridges, engineering of these structures evolved over time and took countless attempts of trial and error, skill, physical effort and the application of STEM concepts. All great structures have one thing in common, they started with an idea, a dream and a purpose, whether to solve a problem like getting cars across a river or paying homage to a Pharoh by building elaborate tombs inside of towering pyramids…every great structure starts with an idea. Put on your thinking caps and build your own great structures! These age-appropriate activities provide additional resources and extensions to expand learning, encourage creative thinking and create active conversations. The fun starts here!
